BuLogics Engineers present at Philly PUG

336x336-EllaThis past Tuesday Night Spencer Russell and Far McKon (that’s me) gave a talk to Philly Python Users Group at 3711 Market St home of DMD

Our hope was to spread some of the knowledge we have about making nice python tools. Spencer has some experience in wrapping our python tools into a good interface using Cmd and DocOpt,  which he gave an introduction to. I have done some experimenting in getting programs posted to the Python Packaging Index (PyPi).  We had a room-busting crowd of 72 people show to the Department of Making and Doing to see the talk, and a lot of great questions and suggestions from the crowd.

To make sure our talk is available for attendees you can go right to Spencer’s Github page for the presentation , or go to my Github page of my project.

Thanks to:

  • The Hacktory at DMD for hosting the event
  • Philly PUG for having us out to speak
  • Dana B. for giving us the idea
  • Finally thanks to BuLogics, moving back into the city makes like this eaiser!
