The 33rd Annual Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Award Celebrates Local Businesses and Their Accomplishments.
PHILADELPHIA, PA – June 9, 2015 – BuLogics, Inc., local business and Internet of Things innovator has been selected as a finalist for the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce (GPCC) Technological Excellence Award. This annual award honors a Philadelphia-based company with strong community outreach and impactful technologies.
Already an award-winning firm, BuLogics and its employees strive to better the Philadelphia region by engaging in meaningful community projects and creating highly sought-after products for the wireless market. BuLogics’ contributions in both fields align strongly with the City of Philadelphia’s goal of attracting and supporting “a burgeoning entrepreneurial community”, especially in the field of technology.
“To say this is an honor is an understatement. We truly feel that we are one of many amazing Philadelphia companies that do incredible things every day. To be selected as a finalist affirms what I already felt about our team: They are some of the most talented, dedicated, and community-oriented technologists in the world,” said BuLogics’ CEO Felicite Moorman.
The nomination of BuLogics by the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) comes on the heels of significant successes by its two spinouts, Zonoff and StratIS. In 2013, StratIS was nominated for and won the Inaugural Marcum Innovator of the Year Award, and in recent months has partnered with Schlage/Allegion as part of its multifamily access, energy, and automation platform. In 2014, Zonoff raised nearly $32 million in Series B funding and recently opened a new 35,000 sq. ft. office in order to house its rapidly expanding team.
“It’s really exciting to see all the years of hard work here pay off. To be recognized by the (Greater Philadelphia) Chamber is even more gratifying. It shows we’re on the right track and that we’re succeeding in the things we set out to do”, said Ryan Buchert, Co-Founder of BuLogics, Zonoff, and StratIS.
