We are seeking an experienced and resourceful engineer who wants to make IoT accessible to all, and to step into the realm of smart devices. Candidates should have a strong background in IoT, and should be capable of moving quickly with us as a lot of our work uses our existing libraries. Because of the safety-critical nature of much of our work, candidates should be thorough and detail-oriented.

We are a small company with a project history that encompasses many of the major players in the IoT space, including numerous Fortune 500 companies. Our mission is to spread the IoT love with our libraries that make stepping into wireless development easy. We are also the home of the Z-Wave test house for the Americas.

Senior Embedded Developer

Details:

Responsibilities

  • Embedded Software design for various IoT products, including gateways, hubs and end-devices
  • Development in embedded C, including extensive unit testing
  • Managing a small team of embedded engineers, including oversight of tasking and delegation
  • Directing integrations of products that will deploy on a local, national, or potentially multinational scale
  • Creation of API-level documentation for delivered libraries

Requirements:

  • Experience developing IoT devices
  • Strong ability in embedded C, including debugging experience
  • Hardware design and debugging experience
  • Familiarity with standard electrical benchtop tools
  • Experience in project management
  • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development

Ideal candidates will have

  • Experience developing in a scripting language (Python preferred)
  • Familiarity with the technologies and products on the IoT market
  • Experience with bash
  • Experience working at a startup
  • Familiarity with the Agile development methodology
  • Familiarity with testing through ceedling

Junior Embedded Developer

Test and Quality Assurance Engineer

Details:

Responsibilities

  • Develop structured testing methods, tools, and templates to manage and monitor bug detection and resolutions
  • Review software documentation to ensure consistency with software features and performance
  • Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness
  • Maintain intensive attention to detail in product and/or functional testing
  • Promptly process, test, and track results for Z-Wave products from international corporations through our Test House
  • Draft technical instructions, plans, and designs to aid product integration

Requirements

  • Highly process- and detail-oriented
  • Organized and capable of planning, delegating, and controlling work
  • A strong communicator in both written and verbal format
  • Quick to learn new, complex systems and technologies

  • Excellent at focusing while juggling multiple responsibilities
  • Motivated by the opportunity to see cutting-edge technology before it hits the shelves
  • A successful test engineer is a self-starter and is comfortable working independently, interfacing with clients, or collaborating with a group
